Leeway Posted August 1, 2004 Report Posted August 1, 2004 Thanks for the link. Some good photos. In the "Actual" link, I particularly liked (for their compositional elements): Roy Hargrove and Nicholas Payton, Berne 2002 Regina Carter, Berne 2001 Nathalie Claude, Langnau, 2001 Weston and Santiago, Berne 2002 From the archives: Hubbard, Nice 1984 (it reminds me of that famous Mobley photo by Wolff, but with an odd twist) Gillespie, Montreux (although big-cheeked Gillespie photos are something of a cliche by now) Quote
king ubu Posted August 2, 2004 Report Posted August 2, 2004 Nice link, Mike! Got much of the music of the "Actual" part... nice to see some photos, too! ubu Quote
sheldonm Posted August 2, 2004 Report Posted August 2, 2004 That's funny that you would post the photograph of Sal Nistico. Last night, Jim Neumann with Beehive Records gave me a copy of "Neo Nistico" that Sal recorded for Beehive in 1978. He told me that Sal once joked "My music will be more valuable when I die", Jim really liked Sal ! Mark Quote
