Unless anyone can give me a good reason not to, I believe this one will be my very first Mosaic pre-order...

Don't do it! Save your money for the lean years ahead of us as we battle terror endlessly!

Well. . .I tried.

I'm probably most looking forward to the Dex and the Dinah! :tup

YES!

I wonder why there was never an LP version of the "Jack Johnson" sessions...

The story I keep hearing is that "Electric Miles" just doesn't sell, while the "Acoustic Miles" does sell.

That can't be right! Electric Miles was strictly about the commercial sellout, doncha' know! ;)

:o:o:o:)

Picks self up off the floor, having become resigned to the theory that Mosaic vinyl releases were now history...

But, but... I STILL haven't got to the end of the Plugged Nickel box yet! :)

I share your guilt, David.

I have listened to CD1 around 50 times, though.

Um, I'll cut you a good deal on buying my vinyl, so I'll have the cash to upgrade myself when it comes out? ;)

From Mosiac:

The 2 Mosaic sets are mastered by Malcolm Addey and the 2 Selects by Kurt Lundvall.

The Farmer/Golson set can be preordered now.

Mosaic Records

Emphasis mine.

and the 2 Selects by Kurt Lundvall.

Is that a recommendation

The same fellow who recorded the awful (sounding) Lovano live set.

I hope he's improving :g

Any more news on the Andrew Hill Mosaic Select? This is the one I'm most eager about. Spring 2005, Fall 2005? I hope Addey takes up the remastering job on this one. (And, for that matter, I hope he's assigned remastering duties for Dance With Death).

I don't see a lot of discussion about the Woody Herman Columbia upcoming set of the First Herd and Second and this promises to be a great set, esp. with Sonny Berman.

I've just preordered it.

I just heard from Mosaic's Scott that the Hill Select will possibly be released in the summer of 2005.
