jazzbo Posted June 24, 2004 Report Posted June 24, 2004 Saw this cover online and never saw it before. Interesting photos! Quote
Hardbopjazz Posted June 24, 2004 Report Posted June 24, 2004 Never saw this one either. Kind of like though. Quote
brownie Posted June 24, 2004 Report Posted June 24, 2004 (edited) Never saw that one either. It is a 10incher Vogue England cover. Vogue had an exchange agreement with BN at the time and they obviously had access to Mr. Francis Wolff photos. Nice one! Edited June 24, 2004 by brownie Quote
Chrome Posted June 24, 2004 Report Posted June 24, 2004 What's up w/Percy Heath's shirt? Has it been colorized? Quote
Dan Gould Posted June 24, 2004 Report Posted June 24, 2004 What's up w/Percy Heath's shirt? Has it been colorized? You didn't know that Rudy's parents installed an orange spotlight in the living room? Quote
jazzbo Posted June 24, 2004 Author Report Posted June 24, 2004 Colorized. . . nicely balances the upper left colors. I Dig the colorization of the bass! Quote

Joe Posted June 24, 2004 Report Posted June 24, 2004 (edited) Nice cover. But too bad the slightly enigmatic Mr. Freeman Lee is not pictured... long wondered about that cat... Edited June 24, 2004 by Joe Quote
Chuck Nessa Posted June 25, 2004 Report Posted June 25, 2004 Thanks for posting this. Great to see the shots. Quote
sidewinder Posted October 3, 2004 Report Posted October 3, 2004 Interesting thread, just happened to stumble across it. This one is by all accounts an extremely rare UK Vogue 10". Probably just as rare if not more so than the equivalent US BN 10". Not a great market out there for Elmo Hope in the mid 50s... Quote
