ornette Posted June 22, 2004 Report Posted June 22, 2004 http://www.powerplaydirect.com/ are offering some of the earlier Mosaic Selects at £42.99. Quote
Claude Posted June 22, 2004 Report Posted June 22, 2004 That's $78, twice the official Mosaic price. Quote
Jason Drake Posted June 22, 2004 Report Posted June 22, 2004 yes, but Mosaic charges a ripoff $23 usd to ship a $39 mosaic select to Europe - and the above price includes shipping - Yes, its still more expensive than Mosaic but not double. Quote

Mosaic charge $12 for orders to the UK of less than $100, yes they make a profit but the service is second to none for replacing defective disc, broken boxes .....Perhaps the level of profit is too high and I for one wouldn't mind if they reviewed their charges for overseas customers. Jason Drake Posted June 22, 2004 Report Posted June 22, 2004 $12 for shipping by surface mail, $23 for airmail. I'd guess you could mail a select at a US Post office for $12 via airmail, to get to Europe in around 5 days. I still think that 23usd for orders the size of a select is ridiculous - and its replicated by True Blue as well. Quote
JohnS Posted June 22, 2004 Report Posted June 22, 2004 (edited) Even with the Mosaic's shipping charge (outrageously high) I still only paid around £28.00 for my Selects. Probably a pound or two more because of the fluctuating exchange rate. On reflection I must have bought two. The Compact Disc Club who normally come up with a good price are listing them ar £49.99!
