Folks, I have been looking for years for a David Letterman show aired in early 1985 with Pee Wee Marquette.  I found it this morning!  Someone was going through his old vcr tapes and came across the show!!!!  It is priceless:

Bassist Bill Crow had fun describing what happened the night that Pee Wee forgot his name and had to ask someone in order to schmooze for his tip.

I laughed pretty hard when he talked about not asking for tips which goes against the truth which was no tip, I'm gonna mess up your name when I announce you.  Also, the watch he received from Charlie Parker - he sold it!!!! Wondering if Bird gave it to him as a "tip."  So happy to be able to share this rare piece of jazz history!
