Phil Meloy Posted June 1, 2004 Report Posted June 1, 2004 Veteran rocker Cyndi Lauper was left red-faced during a concert in Massachusetts recently - when a bird excreted in her mouth. The "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun" singer, now aged 50, was performing at the concert - sponsored by radio station KISS-108 - on Saturday when the horrible incident occurred. It seems a bird flying overhead went to the toilet just as Lauper was hitting a high note, leading to a horrifying moment for the singer. Quote

Phil Meloy Posted June 1, 2004 Author Report Posted June 1, 2004 Pity it wasn't a pelican - they have massive appetites. Quote
Man with the Golden Arm Posted June 1, 2004 Report Posted June 1, 2004 Yeah, this is all we need...another pop-star who thinks she can "scat"! Quote
DTMX Posted June 1, 2004 Report Posted June 1, 2004 Her music has always left a bad taste in my mouth as well. Quote

AfricaBrass Posted June 1, 2004 Report Posted June 1, 2004 I guess birds just want to have fun. Quote
Hardbopjazz Posted June 1, 2004 Report Posted June 1, 2004 Does she say it tastes like chicken? Everything always tastes like chicken. Quote

DrJ Posted June 3, 2004 Report Posted June 3, 2004 (edited) This incident has me feeling philosophical: If a bird shits in a formerly popular singer's mouth, but there's nobody who listens to her anymore, did it actually happen? Edited June 3, 2004 by DrJ Quote
DTMX Posted June 3, 2004 Report Posted June 3, 2004 lauper verb: to suffer the most humiliating onstage indignity, yet keep on performing. "My reed split on me but I was able to lauper through the rest of the set." Quote
