Rooster_Ties Posted May 26, 2004 Report Posted May 26, 2004 OK, first of all, everybody post pictures to this thread (if possible) -- cuz many of us are likely not to realize exactly who you're talking about (since we're not talking about the MAIN "lead" characters). Who are some of your favorite supporting actors from some of your favorite TV shows (or films). Not the ones that got all the glory (and their names in the opening credits), but the bit-players -- either in ensemble comedy shows, or dramas. Recurring characters are also fair game too. One I just thought of recently (and he's my current Avatar), was Steve Landesberg, who played Detective Arthur Dietrich on "Barney Miller". His totally dry (and I mean DRY) sense of humor, and delivery, crack me up to this very day -- although I rarely see Barney Miller any more, nobody ever seems to show it any more. I've also always been a fan of Sulu (George Takei) from the whole Start Trek thing (orginal series, but especially in the movies, particularly Star Trek IV - where he was the captain of his own ship!). I'm sure I'll think of a dozen more, but that'll get us started... Quote
Chrome Posted May 26, 2004 Report Posted May 26, 2004 Patrick Star = But talk about typecasting ... the guy who does his voice is the dumb jock from the old "Coach" sitcom, as well as the "mentally challenged" character from the TV version of "The Stand." How 'bout these guys? Quote
catesta Posted May 26, 2004 Report Posted May 26, 2004 RT, Landesberg is a perfect example. Another great from Barney Miller was Jack Soo. Two from the Bob Newhart show that always cracked me up. Howard Borden played by Bill Daily. Hi Bob! Jack Riley who played Bob's patient, Elliot Carlin. Quote

So who`s having sex with the hen? Mr Ross: "They`re all chickens. The rooster is having sex with all of them." Frank: "That`s perverse!" Quote
