Roundsound Posted June 7, 2004 Report Posted June 7, 2004 Morgan-Shorter VEeJay- disc 2 It's been in my car about a month- I never ever get tired of Lee Morgan. Quote
Shawn Posted June 8, 2004 Report Posted June 8, 2004 Haven't really pulled the Mosaic's out for awhile (aside from the Giuffre)..but it's getting close to that time again. For some reason I tend to shy away from listening to these for long periods of time...then I'll get on a "Mosaic kick" and start playing them a bunch. I'm still not the biggest fan of box sets in the world, I prefer small bite size meals to 17 course dinners... Been hankering to hear the early 50's Hodges set and the Quebec 45 Sessions...so another binge is probably getting ready to begin. Quote

ghost of miles Posted June 8, 2004 Report Posted June 8, 2004 Still enjoying the Hackett (listened to most of the quartet sides last night) & really digging the Brookmeyer Select. Haven't cracked the New Orleans box yet--probably on Sunday afternoon (seems like a good time to listen to that genre). Quote
