In addition, one disc per day from this box: I find the Atlantic New Orleans box to be very enjoyable - with the rationed doses. Good set of music which I otherwise would have missed on. Quote

The engineers succeeded in taking you right there. Edited February 20, 2022 by mikeweil Quote
mikeweil Posted February 22, 2022 Report Posted February 22, 2022 This tunred out to be one of my favourite sets, especially the tracks with pianists Fischer, McCann, or Wofford. And I remember how long I hesitated and ordered a copy at the last minute. Quote
sidewinder Posted March 7, 2022 Report Posted March 7, 2022 LP1 - featuring the great Edmond Hall Celeste Quartet ‘Profoundly Blue’ tracks. Quote

mhatta Posted March 9, 2022 Report Posted March 9, 2022 I recently realized that this was more valuable than I thought. Jackie McLean's "Hipnosis", which I love very much, is only available on CD here after all. Â Quote
gmonahan Posted March 13, 2022 Report Posted March 13, 2022 Disc VI with the Capitol Jazzmen. Some rare Jimmie Noone on clarinet. And of course, Big T. Â Quote
Jim Duckworth Posted March 17, 2022 Report Posted March 17, 2022 Disc 4 with Billy Butterfield, Cootie Williams, Mel Powell, Sid Catlett may well be the best band Benny Goodman ever had. Quote
mikeweil Posted April 12, 2022 Report Posted April 12, 2022 (edited) I panicked when I saw on Mosaic's website that it was out of stock as they are changing warehouses and ordered a copy from Jazzmessengers on Sunday. It arrived here today at noon - fastest delivery of a Mosaic box ever! Edited April 12, 2022 by mikeweil Quote

Templejazz Posted May 7, 2022 Report Posted May 7, 2022 (edited) One of the last remaining used cd/vinyl stores near me just got a whole bunch of jazz dumped on them in the past month from some collector in the area...among the treasure trove were 4 Mosaics in excellent shape- the Duke Ellington Reprise set, Buck Clayton jam session, Jack Teagarden set and Jackie Mclean sessions. I picked up the the Ellington and the Clayton .... $65 for the both of them! Enjoying the heck out of the Ellington right now, never heard this stuff before. Edited May 7, 2022 by Templejazz Quote
mr jazz Posted May 17, 2022 Report Posted May 17, 2022 Desmond 75 set-disc one. While hardly groundbreaking, the standards are very well played. My wife loved it-big bonus. Quote
Bluesnik Posted May 20, 2022 Report Posted May 20, 2022 I'm in heaven here. As I like so much Small Group Swing. Quote
