ghost of miles Posted September 8, 2019 Report Posted September 8, 2019 I seem to come back to this one every year. This time it’s because of a show I’m working on, but the listening, as always, is pure pleasure. Quote
Bluesnik Posted September 8, 2019 Report Posted September 8, 2019 (edited) And this is pure coincidence. But today I grabbed this out and am now terribly impressed with Us Three, the track. This is the first Parlan trio properly. I feel I like Parlan more now than when I got it. I should be listening to this more than I do. Or Headin South, for that matter. Justin V Posted October 10, 2019 Report Posted October 10, 2019 (edited) Just finished: John Carter/Bobby Bradford, Disc 3: I bought this single disc from Mosaic after the set went OOP. These duos are challenging.  Now playing: Charles Tolliver Big Band, Disc 2: Another single-disc purchase. What a band!  Edited October 10, 2019 by Justin V Quote

OliverM Posted October 19, 2019 Report Posted October 19, 2019 Found a copy of the T Bone Walker set locally and really really enjoying it! Wasn't so familiar with this blend of blues and jazz bands. Â Quote
Jim Duckworth Posted October 19, 2019 Report Posted October 19, 2019 Â I listened very closely to the Sonny Berman/Bill Harris session today and liked it better than ever. Â Quote
