ghost of miles
Listened to the first session on COLUMBIA SWING disc 3 last night. Not so hot... eager to hear the session w/Dickenson that follows it, though.

bluesForBartok
I've been spinning that set while reading the "Chronicles of the Herds" book. Such incredible stuff! Herman's Columbia Mosaic will be in rotation here at work today. ←
LAL
Joe Pass discs 4 & 5. Two of the best discs in the set IMO (For Django and a live session).

Alfred
Well, it is the wrong place to post this but I have to say that it is a long time since I really dig into a Mosaic set. I have 60+ Mosaics (Selects included) but I prefer more and more single releases (on lp or cd)! Am I seriously ill?!
sidewinder
No - the same thing happens to me ( ). Some of those nice black boxes gather dust in competition with the Brit Jazz and Blue Notes. I will be giving the Herbie Nichols and Thelonious Monk Complete Blue Note LP sets a spin today.
wesbed
Well, it is the wrong place to post this but I have to say that it is a long time since I really dig into a Mosaic set. I have 60+ Mosaics (Selects included) but I prefer more and more single releases (on lp or cd)! Am I seriously ill?!← I play my Mosaics as if they were single sets. I look up the original album sequence at the AllMusic site then set my CD player to play the given tracks in the order of the original album. However, this can't be done with all Mosaic sets. Ed S
Byrd/Adams. But tm's mentioning of the Elvin set could lead to a switch soon as I'm on the second go-'round of the B/A set.
