I was lucky enough to find a used (or as they say, "pre-owned") set missing the box (but including the booklet) for a reasonable price.  (Now if I could only do the same for the Roulette studio sessions box!)

caught a bad cold last week and have been in bed for the weekend and today (and tomorrow, alas) - making use of the time to spin the 1964-66 McLean sessions in chronological order (including the four Lee Morgan ones) - still as wonderful as when I first discovered these recordings, almost 20 years ago :tup:tup:tup

The Anita O'Day--I remember saying to a friend in the late 1990s, "I wish Mosaic Records would do an Anita O'Day Verve set," and a couple of years later one came out.  (Nothing to do with my wish, of course... just a happy turn of events.)  Great singer, great era for her on record.

I bought my O'Day set from Scott in person. Great set - will have to give it another spin. :tup

Yesterday spinning Anthony Braxton 'Complete Arista' CD2. From Scott Joplin to Eric Dolphy and points well beyond..

I got mine as a Last Chance . Perhaps the best bought on the spur of the last  moment . Don't play it too often but when I do I absolutely love it.

I should pick that up whenever it becomes available again. Some of his best work was on Muse.

Music Millennium in Portland had a copy the other day, don't think used things show on their website.

Thanks, but I don't think it's OOP. The Mosaic website says "This set is on backorder and is expected to be available late 2016"

I got this new the other day, although it's already sold out at Mosaic. Very good. I like piano trios but also, and even better, piano, guitar, bass, as is the case in most of these sessions with the great Barney Kessel.
