John Tapscott Posted April 30, 2013 Report Posted April 30, 2013 Again. What a fine set this is. Such enjoyable listening. Don't know how or why I slept on this set for 10 years. But I'm glad I finally woke up before it's too late. Quote

Al in NYC Posted May 29, 2013 Report Posted May 29, 2013 Disc One Now on disc two. The string quartet tracks are amazing. I could listen to this set every day, particularly those tracks on disc 2. I've had them on my ipod for about 5 years now. Quote
Rooster_Ties Posted May 29, 2013 Report Posted May 29, 2013 Disc One Now on disc two. The string quartet tracks are amazing. I could listen to this set every day, particularly those tracks on disc 2. I've had them on my ipod for about 5 years now. The whole set is great, but disc #3 is one of my all-time desert island discs. Some of the most amazing, "go for broke" playing from Woody Shaw anywhere on record. Warts and all, disc #3 is simply one of discs I treasure most in my entire collection. Quote
