JohnJ Posted February 28, 2005 Report Posted February 28, 2005 Herbie Nichols, CD 1. This is the first time for me to listen to Herbie, pretty amazing compositions. The booklet with this Mosaic is particularly good. Quote
Stefan Wood Posted March 2, 2005 Report Posted March 2, 2005 Columbia Swing Sessions. The Ruby Braff discs were suprisingly good, though not my favorite. The centerpiece for me are the Buck Clayton sessions, with organ, and that one album with vocals -- Ada Moore and Jimmy Rushing? MAN, those are fantastic! And I always liked the Webster/Edison date.
