Cactus Bob Posted March 17, 2013 Report Posted March 17, 2013 Guru Guru ~ Kanguru Brain 1972 reissue Good one. Used to have it but my beater copy got let go before the "big move." Kept a minty UFO (orig) that I got for like $15 years ago, though! I'm on the lookout for UFO. Good stuff! The Curtis Counce Group Contemporary Quote

Do you hear it? Haven't noticed any. Sound pretty good to me. Me neither. Of course, it's rather impossible over there to tell someone that they're imagining it, so he'll keep on thinking that he needs a new vinyl reissue. His loss.Sonny Stitt - Blues For Duke (Muse). Other than the crappy, twangy bass sound, which even seems to affect the piano bass sound, Sonny was on for this date and the rhythm section is smokin'. Quote
John Tapscott Posted March 19, 2013 Report Posted March 19, 2013 Looks interesting, John. Must look into that one. Yes, Bill it's a nice one. Gerry's Big Band from the early 80's. Perhaps not quite as gripping as the original Concert Jazz Band, but some really nice writing from Gerry. Saw this band in concert in either '80 or '81. It was a wonderful evening. Quote
