Eddie Henderson: So What (Eighty-Eight's)

Joe Farnsworth: It's Prime Time (Eighty-Eight's)

New to my collection. Excellent albums. I need to pick up more from this label before they are gone.

Some nice British jazz to start the day:

Tony Coe 'Zeitgeist' (EMI Lansdowne)

Gordon Beck 'Experiments With Pops' (Major Minor)

Graham Collier 'Deep Dark Blue Centre' (Deram)

Mike Gibbs 'Michael Gibbs' and 'Tanglewood '63' (both Deram)

Cannonball Adderley 'Quintet at the Lighthouse' (Riverside blue label DG). Wow, Cannonball's on fire on this one. Wally Heider also did a great job with the recording.

Followed by:

Don Cherry 'Symphony for Improvisers' (BN NY USA mono, Liberty cover. One of those 'transitional' pressings).

Right now, it's late evening and to relax, I'm spinning Earl Grant's very nice collection, "It's So Good".

I must mention particularly his take on "Beyond The Sea". His is the only one that I don't compare to Bobby Darin's. Gorgeous.

The rest of the album is just as good. Nice orchestra with organ band. Grant's voice just pours over you, like a warm bath. Yes indeed. Nice tenor sax, great drummer and...................no personel list. Pity.
