brownie
Kimiko Kasai is a pretty good singer. The album with Gil Evans was recorded in Tokyo. Gil Evans got Marvin Peterson and Billy Harper with Japanese musicians in the studio! Now spinning Jimmy Gourley No More (Musica Records) with Lou Levy, Marc Johnson, Victor Lewis and one Dju Berry on tenor (aka Stan Getz)! sidewinder
Yeah - my latest package has just arrived too. Was it the Moncur, Chambers, etc? Yes - the last 6 from 'Byrd In Hand' onwards. Haven't even opened it yet, will hopefully get round to it tomorrow. I see Kenny Burrell 'Freedom' is coming up in the next lot. Nice to see that one back ! Edited November 21, 2010 by sidewinder
