paul secor Posted May 24, 2010 Report Posted May 24, 2010 Clark Terry: Yes, the Blues (Pablo red vinyl) A good friend, who's mainly a blues buff, asked me about this one - I'm sure he was interested because of the presence of both Cleanhead Vinson & George "Harmonica" Smith on it. I told him that I hadn't listened to it in years but, at least from memory, it was an okay but not essential record. Decided to listen again & had a different reaction. I still don't think it's an essential record, but it's better than okay & has a lot of good things happening on it. I found it very enjoyable this time around. I still have to get back to my friend with my updated opinion - I have a feeling he'll enjoy it even more than I did. Quote
