brownie Posted March 18, 2010 Report Posted March 18, 2010 (edited) Philly Joe Jones; Blues For Dracula; Riverside (Japan) Excellent! Digging for my copy of the same to spin it! Shouldn't be too hard, right? It's on the "J" floor of your LP warehouse! Most of the vinyls that are lined on a wall of my 'music room' are not too hard to find. They are in alphabetical order. The problem is locating the others that are stacked as best as humanly possible in no specific order The PJJ Dracula was in its proper section Now spinning: Richie Kamuca 'Richard Kamuca Quartet 1976' (Jazzz) with Mundell Lowe, Monte Budwig and Nick 'Cirello' (as ortographed in the liner notes) Edited March 18, 2010 by brownie Quote

rostasi Posted March 18, 2010 Report Posted March 18, 2010 Yup, it's one of those sloppy but endearing sides from the 80's that showed up at a store that I was managing - along with some Big Star material and, IIRC, at least one other Chilton side. They seemed to suddenly begin appearing around the time of the New Rose sides. Rod Quote

jeffcrom Posted March 20, 2010 Report Posted March 20, 2010 Earlier: Dave Tarras Plays Again: Jewish Dances (Colonial). The cover has a large photo of Tarras holding his Albert system clarinet, but he actually only plays on half the tracks. He sounds great on those tracks, though. Quote
