Television - Marquee Moon (Elektra)

Television - Adventure (Elektra)

True classics!

:tup

Time to dust off my copies.

Done!

I've added:

Patti Smith - Wave - Arista

Patti Smith - Easter - Arista

Hmm.. Just realized that I no longer have those two on vinyl. Dang. I do still have Horses(Arista), which is next in the cue.

Frank Strozier Quintet 'What's Goin' On' (SteepleChase DirectCutting)

with Danny Moore, Harold Mabern, Stafford James, Louis Hayes

I'm sure the majority of that particular lineup were with George Coleman's Octet when I saw them in London many years back (Strozier, Moore, Mabern for sure). Maybe recorded same tour? (1980-ish)

Milt Jackson's OLINGA on CTI

I'm pretty sure this is the first time I've listened to this album, despite the fact that I think I've owned it for over a year. Hell, I can't even remember where or when I bought it (I think I picked it up at Cheapo in Austin last August (2008, that is)).

The Strozier SteepleChase was recorded in November 1977.

Strozier was a member of the George Coleman Octet at around the same time.

I envy you for having heard him live. Never had the chance.

He is one of ma favorite players. Wish there were more albums with him...
