Big Al Posted August 16, 2008 Report Posted August 16, 2008 Thad Jones/ Mel Lewis (Blue Note Re-Issue Series twofer) I have that one as well! A nice set! Me, I'm spinning Freddie Hubbard & Stanley Turrentine In Concert, Volume 1 which I found last night along with its companion Volume 2. I am SUCH a CTI nut! Quote
The Magnificent Goldberg Posted August 16, 2008 Report Posted August 16, 2008 Been playing my way through another Mosaic Select that will never see the light of day The complete Muse recordings of Richard "Groove" Holmes. On LP Shippin' out Good vibrations Broadway (and on CD) Blues all day long Hot tat The first four would (just) fit nicely on two CDs. The last is over 47 minutes. So that's a pretty good bunch for a Select. And the music is great! (And it's another set that would require Mosaic to get away from its B/W formula - particularly the photo of the delectable Alicia Lashley.) MG Quote

The record sounds terrific anyway. Quote
