porcy62 Posted June 21, 2008 Report Posted June 21, 2008 (edited) Gene Clark with the Gosdin Brothers - Sundazed reissue. Great album. Mono or stereo reissue? Stereo. Interesting. They reissued all the Byrds stuff in mono. Wonder why they didn't do this one the same way. Don't know, the Clark sounds OK in stereo IMHO, though I prefer the early Byrds in mono, up to "Notorious" that I have also in stereo (original Columbia pressing). Sundazed monos of Dylan are OK, and cheap The early Airplane? Mmmmhh. I've got the originals RCA pressings, mono and stereo, and the Sundazeds, don't know. "After Bathing" me like in mono, "Surrealistic Pillow" me like both mix. Edited June 21, 2008 by porcy62 Quote
Teasing the Korean Posted June 21, 2008 Report Posted June 21, 2008 The Gene Clark is not bad in stereo, if you first hear it that way (as I did). Then, you hear the mono, and you can't go back! Quote
