I picked up 5 titles in Blue Note/Toshiba's latest heavy vinyl reissue series. I'm playing Mobley's "Workout" right now. Sounds fine to my ears. Not earth-shattering or anything but not bad. The vinyl is quiet as can be.

Jorma Kaukonen - QUAH - RCA italian pressing.

I despised the strings arrangement since day one. ^_^

I've always liked that one a lot too and I agree with the strings comment. Everything else is so good, why'd they have to muck it up with strings. It's right up there with the first Hot Tuna album imo.l

My thought, I wouldn't despise a true single violin on some of the tracks, on the contrary it might have been something good, like harp in the first Tuna's record, but a whole strings section...

Steven Stills - Steven Stills - Classic reissue. Not a great record, some nice tracks though.
