clifford_thornton
Yeah, it is kind of a chintzy cover and the vinyl is the color of a dark salmon filet. But I'm into the music, so I can live with it. Plus, I like dealing with Emanuele and Roberto, the guys who put out Qbico records.

Shannon Dickey
The Jack Kerouac Box set on Rhino. I don't know how many vinyl copies Rhino pressed, but I purchased mine when it came out, and it seems as if it vanished fairly quickly. The lp w/ Zoot and Al Cohn is interesting, if not a "success". I have read a lot depressing stories about that session.
Kevin Bresnahan
Just finished: Sal Salvadore - Starfingers (Bee Hive) Some nice Brignola solos. Too bad this pressing sucks the big one. Several skips on a minty-looking Side 1. No amount of cleaning has fixed it. Up now: Red Rodney & Ira Sullivan - Spirit Within (Elektra Musician) OK but it has some of that annoying whiny bass typical of 1980's recordings. The drummer, someone named Steve Bagby, is pretty good.

BillF
The Cannonbal Adderley Quintet at the Lighthouse (Riverside) My favorite Adderley Quintet album, not least because of Victor Feldman's sensational piano playing!
