Teasing the Korean
Dizzy Gillespie/Lalo Schifrin 'The New Continent' (Japanese Mercury/Limelight stereo) This is a terrific and overlooked album. I don't have the original (with the great cover) but I do have a 70s reissue on Trip. Lalo Schifrin is amazing.

I think 'The Chains' is one of Dizzy's greatest ever performances and it is a fantastically arranged suite, very well recorded. The Japanese issue is . alocispepraluger102
Of Flesh and Soul: Charles Aznavour Sings in English - Monument stereo do you have aznavour, his kind of love songs, on reprise with gordon jenkins? music with soooooooo much feeling. that version of 'happy anniversary' is magnificent. Teasing the Korean
Edit: Just found out I do indeed have this one! Due for a spin... I have various Aznavour on Reprise but I'm not sure if I have that one. I'll have to check. I love Jenkins' over-the-top string arrangements, despite criticisms. His arrangement on Sinatra's "Where are You" is perfection. Edited November 4, 2007 by Teasing the Korean
