sidewinder
Sam Rivers 'Fuchsia Swing Song' (BN NY USA mono). Critic Chris Sheridan's old copy, according to the signature on the back. I've never heard Tony Williams captured on vinyl as well as on this particular pressing. Teasing the Korean
Jimmy Smith 'The Cat' (Verve, Deutsche Grammophon pressing) with the great LALO SCHIFRIN arranging. I have a MONO copy that I LOVE!
Teasing the Korean
Sinatra & Swingin' Brass (with Neal Hefti) - Reprise mono. What an album. This and Ring-a-Ding with Johnny Mandel (also on Reprise) are great companion pieces.

Daniel A
V/A - The New Breed - (Impulse) Tolliver side w/ Spaulding, Hutch, McBee and Higgins... Nice!! I've just spun Herbie Hancock's 'Empyrean Isles' (Blue Note/King) I think this is such a great album! Sometimes I find it even better than 'Maiden Voyage' and think of it as perhaps Hancock's best. Hubbard never sounded better and Tony Williams is marvellous! The sound is splendid as well, with the piano much more prominent than on most Blue Note albums. Next: Freddie Hubbard 'Ready for Freddie' (Blue Note/King)
