paul secor
Don Joseph: One of a Kind This album is one of a kind - a beautiful record. I don't imagine that it will ever be reissued as a CD, since I doubt that it sold many copies as an LP. Great cover photogaph of Don Joseph taken by Scott Sternbach. brownie
That Don Joseph album is really outstanding! Wish there was more music available from the session! Also wish there were more sessions led by Don Joseph! Now spinning: J.J. Johnson 'Trombone and Voices' (Columbia, six-eye mono)

Sinfonia was THE record store if you were looking for fresh US vinyls back in the '50s and '60s. The store on the Champs-Elysees is history by now

Daniel A
Chick Corea "Tones for Joan's Bones" (Vortex). Joe Chambers is amazing on this album, never heard him play like this elsewhere! I'd really like to get that one, but always get outbid on the 'puter. Got my copy at a reasonable price just two weeks ago. I hope it wasn't you a couple of dollars behind me... Now: 'Have You Met Hank Jones' (orig. Savoy), an endlessly attractive record, probably one of my favourite Hank Jones albums as well as solo piano albums. Savoy), and endlessly attractive record, probably one of my favourite Hank Jones albums as well as solo piano albums. Got that one on a UK London original. Sounds real nice - I'll dig it out later on.
