John Wright-Makin' Out (prestige yellow label)

w/ Eddie 'Cat Eye' Williams on Tenor

Good tenor player, Eddie Williams. Did some very nice work with Bennie Green. Do you have the BG Mosaic Select?

MG

The Farr Brothers: Texas Crapshooter

Fiddle and guitar duets by two original members of The Sons of the Pioneers. Their music is sort of a country/western swing version of Django and Grappelli, but that description doesn't do full justice to their music (or Django's and Grappelli's). Great stuff!

Johnny Hodges Blue Hodge and Mess of Blues - both with Wild Bill Davis. The Rabbit/WBD stuff would be a fine Mosaic Select.

I agree, but I'm not sure I'd buy it. I used to have Blue Hodge and a few other records he did with WMD... er, WBD. :g They didn't do anything for me. But I'm sure there are a lot of Rabbit fans who would go apeshit for a set like this!

I agree - except there are 7 Verve LPs and two RCA Victors, and at least an LP's worth of unissued material - looks like a big box to me.

MG

The Andorrans are taking care of those Hodges/WBDavis:

Mosaic could cherry pick the best of the Hodges/WBD material for a select.
