I heard it was more mainstream. I'd like to get the progression from this to his later stuff nailed down; it's a pretty interesting and unique course that's luckily well-documented on LP.

This evening:

Michel Portal - Splendid Yzlment - (CBS-AKT orig)

Al Shorter - Tes Esat - (America)

THE LEGENDARY BUSTER SMITH ATLANTIC 1323 ( mono black label)

The fascinating story of this particular LP came to be recorded has been written down by Gunther Schuller and is printed in a special booklet, inserted in this package. It is an entertaining documentation of the woes an rewards of the collector of jazz material in the field.

So.................this booklet, I never found it insert the sleeve! :(

Who O Who can show us a copy?

Robin Kenyatta 'Gypsy Man' and 'Terra Nova' (both Atlantic green/orange label). Interesting to see that they were produced by M. Cuscuna. Both better than expected - but patchy !
