Funny that you mention Weber.   Earlier, I was listening to Pat Metheny's Watercolors, and Weber is the bassist on that album.  Weber's playing caught my ear -- particularly on the gorgeous final track, "Sea Song" -- and that's what prompted me to grab this Hampton Hawes LP.  I also pulled Weber's Yellow Fields from the shelf.  I'm planning to spin that LP next.

I guess it's an Eberhard Weber sort of day.

Love me some Eberhard

😁 it's touch or go, this or the studio recording by the same band I think. 5 DeJohnette leader dates down to 3 is the aim but may not be achieved

Change of tack now, welcoming a new arrival

It was at a sensible time here, he's moved it back so it's lunchtime no longer 6.00am!

That's one of the Mangelsdorffs I don't have

It's outstanding -- with Heinz Sauer (ts, as), Günter Lenz (b), and Ralf Hübner (d).

I don't have Birds of Underground;)

Reminds me of 🧐😎 ....

Bewicker Möhl 1950 (1) (Copy).jpg

The cover reminds me of the vegetable crates in my village Bardowick near Hamburg. My father's photo is from 1952. The windmill in the background is still working today.
