I heard Farmer´s Market the tune almost each time Farmer was in town, he lived here but most time was touring, but at least 2 times per year he played some nights at Jazzland, and so often "Farmer´s Market" was the first tune of a set. Funny that you mention Weber. Earlier, I was listening to Pat Metheny's Watercolors, and Weber is the bassist on that album. Weber's playing caught my ear -- particularly on the gorgeous final track, "Sea Song" -- and that's what prompted me to grab this Hampton Hawes LP. I also pulled Weber's Yellow Fields from the shelf. I'm planning to spin that LP next. I guess it's an Eberhard Weber sort of day. Quote
