clifford_thornton
I think it is a good record but not necessarily a great one.
Teasing the Korean
3 hours ago, Kevin Bresnahan said: I saw the lineup for this date and thought, "Wow, this is going to be great". But it wasn't really that great. I was pretty disappointed, to be honest. More than any of his other albums, this is the one where Gary seemed to deliberately blend his jazz and pop proclivities. But he has better jazz albums and better pop albums.

Nice album, good news. I have a turntable technoidiot story to end all others but I'm not sharing it in public NP: The Complete Pacific Jazz And Capitol Recordings Of The Original Gerry Mulligan Quartet And Tentette With Chet Baker This is just a fabulous collection I can't believe I left it so long to properly acquaint myself with this music Edited July 16 by mjazzg
clifford_thornton
Armonicord is killer! Picked it up semi-randomly at La Dame Blanche in Paris around 23 years ago (only knew a couple of musicians on the record) and was blown away. The recent archival CD on NoBusiness (featuring a similar lineup) is also splendid.

Well I bought the Item for the music. However find the coverart also interesting and modern for that time when it was released.
