Oh no! Quick online order with Richer Sounds?

Maybe. Sadly I did not pay attention in electronics class, so I am not convinced I could fit the new cartridge myself.

We live round the corner from a shop, so I've asked my wife to take it round.

The kids have picked up a very endearing habit of putting records on for themselves, which may or may not be connected...

That made me laugh, maybe time to buy them their own?

I was very pleasantly surprised that I managed my last switch without wrecking anything. As a confirmed techno-idiot it was something of a first

John Coltrane - Plays

I always think of this one as the forgotten jewel. Rarely mentioned but some of Coltrane's absolute best playing.

agreed, fantastic album. I have my father's copy bought new in the late 60s. It still has the Bob Hyatt's Stereo Center (Rochester, NY) price code sticker affixed.

Primary

Lloyd McNeill - Asha [Asha Recording Co. Inc., US RE date unknown]

Very pleased to score this, the first reissue on McNeill's own label with artwork by him. The first press is now getting very costly so this will do me until my lottery win.  Can anyone shed any light on when it may have been released?

I like those two records very much.

Oren Ambarchi once told me how important Free Kata has been to his musical education. He also has played with Edouard Bronson, the saxophonist on these records.

From my Dad’s collection. 60 plus years old record, sounding great. 22/6 LSD purchase price. Probably expensive at that time.

This was my first Monk album.  1968.  The cover art had Monk flying like Superman.

Perhaps nostalgia, but this is a big favorite of mine.
