Never listened to that one before so just did based on your rec and damn - mighty fine. Thanks for the lead!

Yeah it tends to get overlooked a little but it’s one of his finest on Muse :)

Nice! Still waiting for my copy. Got postponed unfortunately. So it sounds good? 👌

It sounds good, I've not been disappointed by a TP yet

Done the same day as this:

Blue Note should reissue them as a double and blow folks' minds.

I didn't know that, thanks for pointing it out

Me neither…. The constant stream of complaints on the Hoffman Board always make me laugh. Their copies are almost all full of non-fill, cracks and pops, seam splits etc. But I’ve never experienced such a thing with a Tone Poet nor a Classics edition….

Solid playing by both Shaw and Garrett but I like the 70’s Muse records better than the ‘80’s stuff.

the BOLIVIA one came today is is also nuts- its the exact same band i saw 10y later minus vincent herring.  For those of you who were there, were these Jazz Heritiage faccimle cover lps mail order only? they must of been for the vinyl holdouts who really, really didnt want cd....  so the freddie is interesting cause half the album was recorded digital and half analog

Tomeka Reid & Fred Lonberg-Holm - Eight Pieces For Two Cellos [Corbett vs. Dempsey, 2022]

I knew this would be good with these two players, both long-term favourites on my favourite instrument, but it exceeds expectations. Outstanding

Kept in the can for 9 years, wonder why?
