Paul Bley - Ramblin' - (BYG Actuel original) Great set; I think this was supposed to be a GTA but was not issued until the early '70s...

now: Paul Bley - Mr. Joy - (Limelight original) with a fine and very free version of "Ramblin'."

check out his long long version of mr. joy on 'copenhagen and haarlem'

First exposure to either of these groups. The Thompson is pretty good, the Softmachine pretty amazing.

Nice one !

I have the original "Rainbow series" LP, but the cover looks so dull that I'm thinking of getting a copy of the Connoisseur LP, or even the CD, just because it would probably make me bring out this one more often.

How's the sound on those Connoisseur LPs?

Just spinning this one at this very moment. Nice ! The 'Patterns' is a 'Wally' pressing and this particular one came from Mr. Tanno I think so is in absolutely immaculate condition. :tup

I like the sleeve art on the 'Conn' too !

Nope - I've got the 'Parkertown' pressing :D

The middle one (King) would be pretty rare I think. It would be a challenge even for Mr. Tanno !

Enjoyed side 1 of the 'Conn' and can recommend it without reservation. :)
