It says "recorded at Victoria Theatre, London" and I saw them at the Dominion, Tottenham Court Road, London. Clearly they were in London for a day or two - enough for Monk to make those Black Lion albums. OK and thanks for the Info Edited April 10, 2022 by jazzcorner reply Quote

I didn't have it at all and this sounds great. I really like the session. The sleeve notes suggest it was shelved because it didn't fit the more out tone of McLean's other sessions about this time. I love those other sessions and this is a this pin sharp bluesy complement. That McLean tone slices through. I know Sonny Clark has his many fans but he's the weak link here I think. Quote
sidewinder Posted April 10, 2022 Report Posted April 10, 2022 (edited) Thanks ! Thinking about it, I think I also have a 1979 King pressing of this one but damned if I can find it ! Edited April 10, 2022 by sidewinder Quote

HutchFan Posted April 10, 2022 Report Posted April 10, 2022 Now on my 'table: The Bruce Forman Quartet with Special Guest Bobby Hutcherson - Full Circle (Concord, 1984) with George Cables, Jeff Carney, and Eddie Marshall My LP has Forman's, Hutcherson's, and Cables' signatures on the cover. I wish I could say that I was present when they autographed the LP, but I wasn't. I bought the used LP online years ago. A previous owner must have have seen them perform. Quote
