I have both (all 3 if you also include the Mosaic) - and actually like the LP version of that session. Elvin’s polyrhythms come through very clearly.

Ah, how well I remember poetry and jazz! For me in Leeds it was Danny Padmore (bass) and Peter Redgrove (poetry).

My favourite on record is Jack Kerouac with Al and Zoot.

I actually saw the Michael Garrick Sextet with Jeremy Robson recreating some of their 60s stuff - pretty well a one-off.

Indeed it is. Hipnosis is a Tone Poet candidate I would think.

Oh yes. I hoped to see more Jackie in the upcoming Classics series. I think Demons Dance was unofficially announced as a Tone Poet. That one also deserves a good vinyl reissue.
