Pete "La Roca" Sims - Basra (Blue Note, 1965)

Powerful.

Simply a faultless platter .... and sort of companion album to Art Farmer's "Sing Me Softly Of The Blues" ....

Howard Riley-The Day will come—(CBS UK)

Immaculate copy with no signs of play but with plenty of authentic groove noises in the way that CBS pressings of this era do so well

Timeless -not the Japanese version.

Yep, mine's noisy enough too

Will have to check mine, can’t recall any noise issues although those CBS LPs of that era can be noisy.

Got my copy today for £35 , which is pretty good and unlikely to be bettered even if it is a little noisy in parts

Yeah, it’s a gem. One of his very best.

Jimmy Garrison comes through very clearly on this version and there’s a very spacious sound to Elvin’s drums.

The new Acoustic Sounds version. Probably better than the real thing.

Yeah I’ve got it too. The sound really blew me away. It’s like the quartets right there in your living room. Hearing my Coltrane favorite Wise One this way really moved me.
