CBS Mono. great album. The tracks with Harry Beckett, Lyn Dobson etc are brilliant. ‘Something in the sky’ is a gem. That's a great album. All the better for having been haggled over too I found my copy in an Oxfam about 5 years ago. Not cheap, market price but that's fine when paying to a charity. chewy-chew-chew-bean-benitez Posted November 14, 2021 Report Posted November 14, 2021 has anyone else gotten rid of music matters 45 rpm sidewinder and stuck with NY USA stereo. I did, got 3x what i payed and the NY USA is fine if not prefered. Yeah the MM was clear but but there was a higher feedback level than NY-- eg the fampous pause at start? the MM you hear feedback at semi-loud vol--- same settings on NY USA, dead quiet Quote
Chuck Nessa Posted November 15, 2021 Report Posted November 15, 2021 The Bud Freeman records HutchFan has been posting reminded me of some trio recordings by Bud. First side B of this lp with Dave Bowman and Don Lamond followed by this Dot session with Bob Hammer and Mousie Alexander About 10 years ago I suggested coupling these session on one cd (to the folks with power) and it was ignored. JSngry Posted November 15, 2021 Report Posted November 15, 2021 Ok, I see now, it's the shadow of the tenor neck. Didn't see that right away, though, it looked like some really weird bathing cap or something crazy like that. Was Bud Freeman a swimming man at all? Quote
