Laurindo Almeida - Chamber Jazz (Concord, 1979)
with Bob Magnusson and Jeff Hamilton

I almost included this LP in my 70s jazz survey.  Excellent music.

My two Impulse! favorites by Sanders :)

My favourites switch nearly every time I listen to any of his Impulses - such a strong run. I have a big soft spot for 'Live At The East' and that along with 'Karma' are probbaly my two favourites, today

'Tauhid' is cued up next.

Since the Floating Points album, which I love, I've been on a mission to plug the gaps in my Pharoah Impulse leader-date vinyl collection. Complete now.

It sounded good earlier, will listen again over the next day or two

edit to add: listening again now and I don't really detect muddiness.  Sharrock isn't high in the ensemble mix at times and that mix is quite dense. Burrell's the biggest loser in the mix as I'm hearing it.

Just discussed over there at Steve Hofmans forum. The sound is horrible. Have both RCA vinyls with different cover.
