Maybe because it appeared right before MCA took things over. I don’t think it got much visibility over here when it came out. Interestingly, it appeared around the same time as John Handy’s ‘Hard Work’ - which was of course a mega-hit. People probably started listening to it, hearing Ted Dunbar’s guitar, thinking it was disco and getting very quickly dissuaded.
