Being a Rollins fanboy (at least regarding his recordings until 1966), but this Impulse album left me somehow undecided .... as often as I (re)listened ...

This was one I could never get into for years. However, the last couple listens connected with me. Obviously, the music didn't change. I did and my ears did.

Don't wanna be too negative but late(r) Sonny releases to me are marred by his choice of musicians .... btw certainly not the case with "East Broadway Run Down" ....
