mjazzg Posted July 24, 2018 Report Posted July 24, 2018 Not Much Noise - s/t [PolJazz] enjoy this one more each time I play it. An O Board recommendation, but sadly I can't remember who to credit Quote
spinlps Posted July 25, 2018 Report Posted July 25, 2018 Miles Davis - Ascenseur Pour L'echafaud 3LP 10 inch 2018 reissue. Hype sticker states it was mastered from the original analog tapes and cut at Abbey Road... and its sounds glorious. Quote
HutchFan Posted July 25, 2018 Report Posted July 25, 2018 Dick Wellstood - From Ragtime On (Chiaroscuro) This is perilously thin vinyl -- it reminds me of the floppy RCA Dynaflex LPs from around the same time -- so the sound is less than ideal. Regardless of sonics, Wellstood plays beautifully, with great sensitivity. No surprise there. I wonder: Why hasn't Chiaroscuro ever reissued this music in digital format? Most of their back-catalog has been made available -- but not this. Oh well. I guess it's just another example of life's myriad little injustices. Quote
