Clunky
Sun Ra———-Of abstract dreams——-(Strut) this has sat at home unopened and sealed for a month or more. I should not have delayed as it is superb. A quality small group radio session from Philly circa 1975.

Two things are odd. Firstly why did it stay unissued for such a long time and secondly why such a dull generic title? Perhaps Patton had a hand in the latter if not the former. sidewinder
I think this was one of those which were kept in the vault - the vinyl didn’t appear until the ‘Rare Groove’ series, to my knowledge. Great music and John Zorn’s sleeve notes are full of insight. Lexington 10” DG mono. Signed by Horace on one label ! Teasing the Korean
Chief Bey and His Royal Household - Congo Percussion aka Taboo aka Jungle Percussion This percussion LP was a recorded for a budget label and issued three times with three different covers and under three different artist names: I am currently spinning: Chief Bey and His Royal Household - Congo Percussion - Pirouette (stereo) It also came out as: Cawanda and His Group - Taboo - Promenade (I have this in mono) and Sabu and his Jungle Percussionists - Jungle Percussion - Clarity (I have this one in mono too.) This is apparently not THEE Sabu. Edited May 26, 2018 by Teasing the Korean
