Nope - although I have previously set foot in the old long gone Vinyl West store in Stuttgart and perused their racks, this copy came from the UK (£5 ) Just ‘lifted’ their image file. So I thought ... it just amused me that this logo of that (alas) long gone shop cropped up again. Tom's still around but mail oder only from the Spanish isles now after he emigrated several years ago.
jeffcrom
Earl Hines - My Tribute to Louis (Audiophile). All tunes associated with Louis Armstrong, recorded twelve days after Satchmo passed. Hines is at his latter-day best, the piano is a fine Steinway, and the brilliant Ewing Nunn did the recording. Thanks to Chuck for hipping me to this one.

Thanks to Chuck for hipping me to this one. Great music! I don't have it on vinyl - just the 2 CD set which also includes tributes to W.C. Handy and Hoagy Carmichael. Chuck is also the one who turned me on to this set. He has a generous spirit and doesn't hesitate to share his knowledge and enthusiasms. paul secor
Miles at the Blackhawk (Mosaic) - LP 1 A favorite Miles band - I know that there are some who don't appreciate Hank Mobley here, but I'm not among them. Hearing this band recorded live is a big plus.
