It’s a bit of a cheesy period-piece in parts but I quite like it, it certainly has charm and good vibes, in line with Hank himself. Helps if you enjoy/have shares in Baldwin electric harpsichords though I guess (and I am not a fan).

If I was evr going to do an Austin Powers theme party I would have this one, the Schifrin/Sade and Gerald Wilson’s ‘California Soul’ cued on deck. :D

Can't say I know this album. The opening tracks lasted 10 seconds with me.

Lee Morgan -- Live at the Lighthouse -- (BN UA blue-black)

haven't spun this in years. Pure fire.

Oh yeah.  One of my first Lee albums.  Love it.

Air-------Air Time---------(nessa) original reissue.

this recording reveals something new on each play. The sound of this reissue (2016?) is immaculate as I think I've noted before. Dead silent background and superb dynamics. An audiofile reissue in all but name.

That really must sound good as, inspired by your post, I'm now listening to the original and it's sounding very nice indeed. Such a great album

L'Etau - Choses Clandestines [Disques Bloc Thyristor], LP3. First spin from this set in an age.

some very impressive Michel Pilz on this, ably assisted by Tippett, Rogers and Cognard

Curtis Fuller -- Two Bones -- (BN King JP)

maybe my favorite CF-led date?

I'm not sure if it's my favorite - it could be - but it's a very good recording.

JAS (J.A. Schneider) -- Volcano -- (no label, US private press)

only recognized a couple players, Tony Waters and Neal Starkey, on this Atlanta-area post-bop thing. Nothing earth-shattering so far but it's a nice date, clearly weaned on 70s McCoy Tyner albums et al.

New York Art Quartet - Call It Art [Triple Point], LP 5

starting my listening of the set with the LP that reviews suggested was the weakest in SQ and focussed playing. Sounds pretty exciting to me - wish I'd been at Marzette Watts' loft for the party

Really enjoying some old and new vinyl after having my turntable set up for shellac 78s for a couple of weeks:

Clarinet Summit - Southern  Bells (Black Saint). I've had this on CD as well, and both versions have some pretty nasty digital distortion. I love the music, but I wonder how the sound got by everyone on the way to issue.

Steve Lacy & Joe McPhee - The Rest (Roaratorio). A fabulous soprano saxophone duo improvisation.

Sonny Rollins - Reel Life (Milestone). Fairly mediocre, but "McGhee" is just fabulous.

Dodo Greene - My Hour of Need (BN stereo, Liberty pressing). Not great, but very enjoyable.
