MICHEL PETRUCCIANI: MICHEL PETRUCCIANI. OWL RECORDS OWL 025 [1981]

I saw this trio – with J.F. Jenny Clark (b), Aldo Romano (dr) – live at Jazz à Vienne (France) in 1982. Aldo Romano carried him on stage. Michel Petrucciani was born December 28, 1962 – 55 years ago!

Plus an interesting trio version of ‘Avotcja’, which first appeared on Lee Morgan’s ‘Taru’.

that's got to make it doubly special

I only listened to this LP recently and was very impressed but puzzled that I'd not seen it on CD, perhaps it was and I missed it. None the less a great record.

there's a Japanese CD and it's also on this for some reason.

Only possible reasoning is RR's appearance on one of the Taylor tracks
