paul secor Posted December 14, 2017 Report Posted December 14, 2017 Trane: Ballads I think of this album as the equivalent of Monk Plays Ellington - an attempt to feature a musician who had a "difficult" reputation (at least with those who didn't make an honest attempt to listen) in a more conventional setting. I have no idea whether it worked in either case, but I like both records. Quote
