clifford_thornton
Bert Jansch - Rosemary Lane - (Reprise pressing) one of the better Jansch albums, accompanying himself on guitar for a program of traditionals and original folk compositions. Far superior to the orchestrated stuff, IMO.

Far superior to the orchestrated stuff, IMO. So you should appreciate 'Bert and John', I 'll give a spin to my Transatlantic original copy later, after the Solti's Fourth of Brahms's symphonies Edited March 16, 2006 by porcy62
porcy62
BTW on 'Bert And John' there is a a great 'Goodbye Porky Pie Hat'. Those were times, when folk and rock musicians were looking at 360°, jazz, blues, classical, avantgarde,ecc.. Today's rockers look only at Beatles or Zeppelin. brownie
Red Galrand Red Alert! on Galaxy. Anyone else like these late Red Garland records. I bought them new back in the 70's and am still enjoying them--good stuff! I like them... even if none is really outstanding! Spinned - and enjoyed - 'Strike Up the Band', the quintet date with Juian Priester and George Coleman! Now playing: Dick Katz 'Piano & Pen' (Atlantic, mono black label) quartet dates with Chuck Wayne or Jimmy Raney, Joe Benjamin, Connie Kay. Very nice, sound is OK!
