jeffcrom
Â Â George Girard - Stompin' at the Famous Door (Vik) Mose Allison - Lessons in Living (Elektra Musician) A mid-career album by a musician who led a long and full life, and before that, one of the last recordings by an enormously talented player who only made it to age 26. The Mose album was recorded at Montreux in 1982, and features some of his most intense piano playing. Homefromtheforest
Fats Sadi "ensadinado" (Saba, Germany). Thanks to Sidewinder for the nudge on this one; you're right it sounds absolutely incredible!  A few clicks on track one but the rest plays perfect...the price was right though at least. Bill Evans "interplay" (riverside, USA mono).

Have been giving my copy a lot of plays over the last few days as a test disk as the new amp settles down and the sound starts to 'bloom'. Incredible ! mjazzg
I was at one of the evenings from which the two releases are taken. It was a great evening of music and particularly interesting to hear Brotzmann respond to that trademark Parker/Drake groove. There's a track on the CD where Drake plays frame drum and Parker guembri and shenai which was a complete knockout on the night Edited November 17, 2016 by mjazzg

They are suprisingly thin - yet I'll wager that this one sounds at least as good as a pristine original, if not better. Re-appraising my Kings and Toshibas. I guess that the recent sonic upgrade has really helped, plus some reconfiguration of my phono stage location and supply switching. Still a great and welcome surprise though ! UK CBS mono.
